MT>Ventures, a wholly owned division of the firm, has been launched to support startups struggling amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The team offers legal and non-legal services to emerging businesses.
“Startups are going to play a critical role in re-invigorating our economy through the pandemic and through the oil crisis,” said Aliya Ramji, Toronto-based partner at the firm and co-founder of MT>Ventures.

The firm congratulates one of its partners, Sharon Kravetsky, on her appointment as Queen’s Counsel.
Called to the Manitoba bar in 1990, Kravetsky’s practice focuses on family law, including adoption, guardianship and family dispute resolution, as well as prenuptial, cohabitation and separation agreements. She is vice-chairperson of the Canadian Bar Association’s national family law section.
Because of the COVID-19 crisis, the ceremony to honour the new recipients of the Queen’s Counsel designation has been postponed.
