Jason Marks brings in-house experience from industries including biotechnology and pharmaceuticals
Jason Marks has been named chief legal officer of TerrAscend Corp., a North American cannabis operator with sales in Canada, the U.S. and Europe.
Marks has more than two decades of experience in the legal profession including serving as chief legal officer, general counsel and corporate secretary of InflaRx N.V., a biotechnology company. In this position, he focused on the legal, compliance and corporate governance aspects of the business and assisted in advancing strategic initiatives. He also oversaw the operations of the company’s subsidiary in the U.S.
Marks was also senior vice-president, head of legal, Branded Rx (Salix) and global litigation and government investigations at Bausch Health, a pharmaceutical company. In this role, he acted as lead lawyer for the company’s Salix division and established and spearheaded the company’s first legal operations and enterprise risk management functions.
Marks also served in senior positions at Novartis and Stryker Corporation. He is experienced in a range of industries, such as consumer health and medical devices. He has worked for the firms of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, Arnstein & Lehr LLP and Bell, Boyd & Lloyd.
