Leigh Clarke brings legal background to lithium developer E3 Metals

E3 Metals Corp. has expanded its executive team with the hire of Leigh Clarke as director of corporate strategy and sustainability. He replaces Liz Lappin who left the company in December, 2021.

A lawyer by training, Clarke joins E3 with more than 30 years of experience in a variety of energy-related industries, including 13 years as a senior vice president at Altalink, LP where he established legal, corporate secretary, communications and government relations functions. Most recently, he worked as general counsel and corporate secretary at Balancing Pool of Alberta. He also held the title of vice president and general counsel at Canada First Management Corp.

E3 – an emerging lithium developer and direct lithium extraction technology innovator – has  continued to expand its team over the past few months. The Company has added seven new key staff since January, helping to boost E3’s profile in the lithium industry.

The Calgary-based company has also added six professionals to bolster various aspects of the business.

"E3 Metals has focussed on creating a team of experts to drive the Company forward," said Chris Doornbos, E3 Metals CEO. "These new hires fill critical roles at the company, hired with the vision of the paradigm shift the company is currently in the process of completing. These new staff members join our already excellent team working on advancing E3 Metals in all avenues."

Through the successful scale up its direct lithium extraction technology towards commercialization, E3’s goal is to produce high purity, battery grade, lithium products.
