Lindberg practises at Bruyer & Mackay LLP in Edmonton
The Canadian Bar Association’s Alberta Branch has named Amanda Lindberg as its new 2022-2023 term president.
Lindberg is a barrister and solicitor at Bruyer & Mackay LLP in Edmonton. She has significant expertise in different areas of family law, including divorce, common-law separation, guardianship, decision-making responsibility and parenting time, child and spousal support, and division of family property. She also assists clients with family law agreements, including minutes of settlement, cohabitation, and prenuptial contracts.
Before her current practice, Lindberg specialized in construction, corporate, employment, personal injury, estate, and real estate litigation. She has appeared before all levels of Alberta courts, including the Court of King’s Bench and the Provincial Court.
Lindberg has held several leadership roles in the CBA Alberta. She served as a provincial council member, co-chair of the civil litigation section and Edmonton’s Law Day committee, provincial co-chair for Law Day, and section coordinator for north Alberta. In 2019, she became part of the executive committee as secretary.
In addition, she currently serves as the board chair of the Norwood Child and Family Resource Centre – a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting children and families of marginalized families in the greater Edmonton area.
“Amanda personifies the volunteer spirit of the Canadian Bar Association. Amanda always has something to contribute, whether it be thoughtful suggestions or comments at a board meeting or rolling up her sleeves and getting the work done on whatever committee she serves on,” said CBA Alberta former president David Hiebert. “CBA Alberta is in good hands with President Lindberg.”
