Miller Thomson appeared in five cases
Paul Morrison, partner, represented plaintiffs M. Khalid and several others in Khalid, as beneficiary of the M.S. Khalid Family Trust et al v. ICICI Bank Canada. Morrison’s practice includes complex corporate and commercial litigation, including class action litigation, securities litigation, competition litigation, insolvency litigation, professional liability, products liability, and domestic and international arbitration.
Kevin Sherkin, partner, represented plaintiff C. Coppola and one other in Coppola et al v. The Estate of Silvio Marsili. Sherkin’s practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation, with expertise in construction matters, shareholder disputes, real estate-related litigation and breach of trust claims.
Tony van Klink, partner, represented the Bank of Montreal in three cases Bank of Montreal v. Shams Bros Pharmacy Inc., Bank of Montreal v. Lake Trading Newcastle Inc., and Bank of Montreal v. Lake Trading Goderich Inc. Van Klink practices insolvency and restructuring law and related commercial litigation, focusing on receiverships, bankruptcies, enforcement of security agreements, commercial debt recovery, and CCAA proceedings.
