The week's biggest commercial list matters are valued at $43 and $45 million
Tyr and Goodmans represented plaintiffs in multimillion-dollar commercial list cases, while Miller Thomson, Thornton Grout Finnigan, Blakes, Lenczner Slaght, WeirFoulds, BLG, Fasken, and Torys also made appearances in commercial list matters this week.
The most notable commercial case this week was the $45-million case Yurkovich et al v Citibank Canada et al. Here, Tyr LLP partner James Doris represented the two plaintiffs. Citibank Canada and one other defendant appeared to be unrepresented.
The next most notable commercial case was the $43.1-million case Actra Performers' Rights Society v Re:Sound et al. Here, Goodmans LLP partner Dan Block represented plaintiff Actra Performers' Rights Society. The nine defendants were apparently unrepresented.
