Dentons has expanded its national banking and payments regulatory offering with the addition of a new partner, Lisa Ford. She has over 22 years of industry experience, encompassing legal and business roles. She has advised clients on complex payment and financial transactions. Ford is also widely recognized for her expertise in payments regulation, financial technology, risk management and industry affairs.

Kristin S. AuCoin has joined the firm's Toronto office as an associate. AuCoin's practice covers commercial and business litigation, entertainment, intellectual property, and regulatory law. She has experience representing and advising clients in intellectual property, entertainment and media, regulatory, privacy, defamation, tort, bankruptcy and insolvency, landlord and tenant, and enforcement-related matters.

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP

The firm has welcomed Max Collette as a partner in its Vancouver office. Collette is a leading real property, planning and environmental lawyer. He has advised clients on the remediation and ‎re-development of industrial brownfield sites, developing ‎healthcare-related facilities, master-planned communities, complex mixed-use strata developments, and commercial ‎joint ventures on First Nations lands. He will join the firm's real estate group.

Associate David McDonald has joined the firm's employment and labour group in Calgary. McDonald's practice encompasses employment, labour, and administrative law. His experience includes negotiating agreements, drafting various pleadings, court documents, memoranda, opinions, employment agreements, policies, and briefs concerning employment standards, labour grievances, human rights, occupational health and safety, and complex multi-jurisdictional and multi-party disputes.

Farris has welcomed Pamela Sheppard as a litigation partner. Sheppard specializes in commercial litigation, complex family asset division cases involving corporations, partnerships, trusts and multi-jurisdictional assets, and child and spousal support claims. The firm has also welcomed Yasmin D'Costa as a litigation associate. D'Costa specializes in commercial and civil litigation and family law disputes.
