CLOC launches Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Council

The Corporate Legal Operations Consortium has announced its new Diversity Equity, Inclusion and Belonging council, which is comprised of 14 thought leaders drawn from across the legal ecosystem. The DEIB council will help shape and drive CLOC’s strategy in implementing DEIB policies and procedures into not only CLOC’s daily operations, but to also offer knowledge, tools and resources to its members to ensure that the legal operations ecosystem is equitable and inclusive.

“With our DEIB council, we set out to create a diverse team that represents the full legal ops ecosystem so that our industry as a whole is properly represented with a variety of perspectives and voices shaping the CLOC strategy,” said Shawn Sanford, head of membership and community engagement at CLOC. “We are honored to have these influential and innovative leaders to serve the legal ops community.”

The new council will be chaired by Laura Dieudonné, legal operations and administration director at Delta Air Lines, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia, US.

“Our council is excited to make a big impact for the legal operations industry. CLOC is thankful for the work of this dynamic group of leaders, and I am personally honored and fortunate to be on this important DEIB journey with each DEIB Council Member,” said Dieudonné,

As a critical part of this commitment and the success of our mission, we must ensure that organizations and individuals have the tools and resources they need to help advance diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in legal. To do this, we must constantly evolve and leverage the power of our passionate members. This outstanding group of thought leaders will offer their expertise and unique perspectives to all segments of the ecosystem as we work together to make a meaningful difference.” 

The DEIB Council will guide CLOC in delivering a new DEIB strategic plan which will be unveiled by the end of 2023.
