White & Case expands IP practice and global tech industry group

White & Case LLP is expanding its intellectual property practice and global technology industry group with the addition of Jordan Coyle as a partner in Washington, DC.

Coyle specializes in Section 337 investigations before the US International Trade Commission, representing technology companies in disputes involving intellectual property right claims, including allegations of patent and trademark infringement.

"Section 337 investigations pose an enormous risk to companies," said Yar Chaikovsky, head of White & Case's intellectual property practice. "As technology companies and investors prioritize securing supply chains, the fast-paced nature of these investigations means their popularity will only accelerate.”

Coyle's addition continues the expansion of White & Case's IP practice, following the recent addition of Chaikovsky, as well as partners Phil Ou, Bruce Yen and David Okano, who all joined the firm's Silicon Valley office earlier this year.

"White & Case is known for advising on high-profile, complex matters across the technology industry, and successfully navigating ITC litigation remains a priority for many of our clients," said Nicole Erb, White & Case's Americas regional section head of trade, IP and white collar. "Adding a talented ITC litigator like Jordan further strengthens our position as a leading choice for market participants across the full spectrum of IP matters in the technology sector.”
