TGF, Gerson Law, Paris Sayer act in $1.7-billion commercial case

Lawyers at Gerson Law, Paris Sayer, Ross Nasseri, and TGF made appearances in commercial list matters valued at $38 million to $1.7 billion and involving Bridging Finance Inc., a Canadian private company providing alternative financing options.

The week’s most notable commercial suit was the $1.7-billion case Bridging Finance Inc. et al v Sharpe et al. John Finnigan, founding partner at Thornton Grout Finnigan LLP, advised Bridging Finance Inc. and 15 other plaintiffs. Denise Sayer, partner and business litigator at Paris Sayer LLP, acted for defendant J. Contreras. Howard Gerson, commercial litigator at Gerson Law, advised defendant A. Mushore. D. Sharpe and 22 other defendants appeared to be unrepresented.

The next most notable commercial suit was the $160.3-million case Bridging Finance Inc. et al v McCoshen et al. Finnigan acted for Bridging Finance Inc. and 16 other plaintiffs. S. McCoshen and four other defendants appeared to be unrepresented.

A third notable commercial suit was the $160,102,460 case Bridging Finance Inc. by Its Receiver, PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. et al v Ng et al. Erin Pleet, a partner experienced in commercial litigation at Ross Nasseri LLP, advised Bridging Finance Inc. and three other plaintiffs. G. Ng and 17 other defendants appeared to be unrepresented.

A fourth notable commercial suit was the $38-million case Bridging Finance Inc. et al v Gautam et al. Finnigan acted for Bridging Finance Inc. and 2 other plaintiffs. R. Gautam and 2 other defendants appeared to be unrepresented.
