Brian Temins and Samantha Prasad have joined Cassels as partners in the Toronto office. Temins’ practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions, emphasizing growth-oriented businesses. Prasad is experienced in corporate, international, and high-net-worth tax planning.

Thomas Ciz has joined Farris as an associate counsel. Ciz is experienced in taxation and corporate or commercial law. He has previously worked with a national law firm and acted as general counsel for public and private corporations.

Harper Grey has welcomed Shelley A. Braun as an associate specializing in subrogated and coverage claims practising with the firm’s insurance law group. Braun has over twenty-five years of experience representing clients in litigation, encompassing chambers work, complex multiparty litigation, contract disputes, construction litigation, coverage, plaintiff and defendant personal injury, professional liability, employment practices liability, property damage and fire-related losses, arson and fraud defences, and bad faith claims.
Lenczner Slaght
The firm has welcomed Devon Kapoor. Before joining Lenczner Slaght, Kapoor practiced in the New York office of a leading international law firm, where he represented public and private companies, local governments, and individual clients in a wide range of disputes before state and federal courts. He has served as a judicial law clerk to Justice Michael J. Moldaver at the Supreme Court of Canada and Chief Justice George R. Strathy and Justice Michael H. Tulloch at the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

David Choi has joined the firm as a partner in the business law group in Toronto. Choi specializes in corporate mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, corporate governance, financings, and commercial transactions. He has advised clients in various industries, including biotech, energy, mining, manufacturing, retail, telecommunications, and financial services.
