He joins the firm's New York office
White & Case LLP has expanded its global mergers & acquisitions practice by adding Keith Hallam as a partner in its New York office.
Hallam joins White & Case with a background in M&A and activism defence. He has played a significant role in numerous high-profile, multibillion-dollar deals and defence cases across different industries, including consumer products, energy, financial institutions, healthcare, industrials and technology.
In a statement announcing his appointment, White & Case chair Heather McDevitt referred to Hallam as “one of the most prolific M&A dealmakers in the US market.”
Additionally, the global head of M&A, John Reiss, commented on the timing of Hallam’s appointment as the M&A markets show signs of recovery.
“As the M&A markets begin to rebound, the addition of another extremely seasoned and collegial partner is perfectly timed for our global practice,” said Reiss. “I look forward to Keith immediately assisting our team and our global M&A clients to execute upon our rapidly growing deal pipeline.”
Hallam joins White & Case after the firm brought on Taurie Zeitzer as co-head of the global private equity (PE) industry group.
Zeitzer also shared her enthusiasm for Hallam’s addition to the firm, praising his “outstanding ability to find creative and commercial solutions for his clients.”

Last month, White & Case announced the return of Patrick Sarch as head of UK public M&A in London.
